I have faced many of my own health challenges including neck surgery and a full hysterectomy in my mid 40’s that put me into instant early menopause. Shortly after, I discovered I had an under active thyroid, which put twenty pounds into my midsection and caused depression. Between the weight gain and imbalance of hormones, I was miserable and faced with the challenge of getting the weight off and having to regain my strength and peace of mind. All of these challenges taught me a lot about how incredible and resilient the human body is, with its amazing ability to heal and bounce back. Through persistence, commitment, and good nutrition, along with the help of physical therapy and personal training, I strengthened my neck and lost the weight I previously gained. I have energy and I feel good. This is precisely why I became a health coach and personal trainer.
I know how hard life can be and I have learned that even though there are so many seasons where life can be challenging, there is hope. My hope comes from my faith in God. I have also learned over the years how important our thought life is, our thoughts can have a positive or negative effect on our body. There are many studies that prove this to be true.
I am intentional about having a growth mindset. No matter how healthy we think we are, there is always something to be learned. I appreciate the value of accountability and community; they both help me achieve more than I think I can and help fuel my passion to coach others.
The impact of one changed life will leave behind an influence for good that will reach the lives of many others, "Creating a ripple effect!"
"Every single thought and every single action creates a ripple effect."
